Pincushion Mountain

 

Offers one of the most impressive viewpoints in this area. It's summit is accessible via a 2.75km drive up Ponderosa Dr., the trailhead is obvious as a pullout on your right at the tight left- hand hairpin in the road. 

 

Pincushion's steep singletrack route offers a challenge for much of it's length and could be described as intermediate to advanced. It's steep trail renders it exclusively for hiking and trail-running activities. 

 

Directions: Turn left off highway 97 onto Ponderosa Drive and the trailhead is at the Chateau on the Ridge Entrance.
